Staying In A Hotel Versus Staying In A Camper

     What's the difference between staying in a hotel or staying in a camper?  Well here are some very precise answers.

                                                        How They Are Different
     First on my agenda is staying in a hotel.  When you stay in a hotel, you have a lot of space, but when you are in a camper, it may get very cramped.  When you stay in a hotel, you are in a building, but when you're in a camper you are in a trailer.  Usually when you stay in a hotel there is more than one room, but campers are mostly just one big room.

                                                         How They Are The Same
     They are the same because usually they both have some type of furniture in them.  You can also stay in both.  Both are mostly always warm and luxurious.  I would preferably stay in a hotel (but that's my opinion).  Well.... now which one would you rather stay in???

     

   

If You Give A Cow A Brownie

     If you give a cow a brownie, he'll ask for some particular colored sprinkles to be on top.  After you give him the brownie with sprinkles, he'll ask for a glass of white milk to go with it.  Then after you give him his milk he will ask for a napkin to wipe his face off with.  He'll then want to go outside and get a little exercise.  After you take him outside, he'll want to go take a bubble bath and get all the dirt off him.  When he's done taking his bubble bath, he will want to go watch some TV.  While he's watching TV, he will ask for some popcorn to go with the movie.  When he's eating the popcorn, he will think it is too plain, so he will ask for salt to put on it.  After you give him the salt, he will be so exhausted he will want to go and take a nap.  When he is done napping, he'll want another yummy brownie!

My Morning Routine

     Hey there!  Now I'm back to tell you about my morning routine in order to get to school on time.  The first thing I do is wake up.  Usually I wake up at about 6:30 AM.  So waking up at that time gives me about an hour to get ready.  After I wake up, I go and take a shower, so when I get to school I'm not all stinky and smelly!  I take about a 15 minute shower.  When I'm out of the shower, I get dressed and brush my hair.


     Then at about 7:00 AM I'm ready to sit down and eat a very healthy and delicious breakfast.  Next after breakfast, I go brush my teeth.  After that I have some chores to do in the morning.  My chores in the morning are feeding our dog and cats.  Then I go wait for the bus so I don't miss it.  The bus picks us up at about 7:45 AM.  Finally, I arrive at my destination (the school) at about 7:55 AM.  Well that is my morning routine... So what's yours??

Why Play Basketball??

     Do you play basketball?  Well if you don't you should really reconsider it.  Basketball is so much fun, because you get a chance to be aggressive to the opposing team.  You also get to be with friends and have fun while playing it.  Plus, you are very active running up and down the court playing.    So you could say that basketball is a very active sport!  So be active and play basketball; it is so much fun!

Michael Jordan

     Well, now I am back to tell you a little bit about Michael Jordan and his ability on the basketball court.  Michael Jordan played basketball for the Chicago Bulls.  He was one of the best players on the team.  He was also very competitive and showed leadership toward his teammates.   Michael also had a very positive attitude, nothing would ever get him down when he was on the court.


     Even though he is a famous athlete, he still does a lot of good things off of the basketball court.  Michael has given countless things to many different charities including the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of America, the UNCF College Fund, and to the Olympics.  Besides playing basketball Micheal is known for saving other peoples lives'. Once there was a kid named Fargas, a boy, who needed a liver to live.  So Jordan traveled around the world to find a liver so that boy could live.  So what I'm trying to express here is: an athlete can still be an athlete, but can also do good stuff off of the court.  He has a stupendous personality! 

Samantha And The Yucky Brocoli Trees

     Once upon a time there was a girl named Samantha.  She lived in a small town with her family.  She loved her family dearly, but she had one problem with her mom.  Her mom made broccoli three times a week!  Samantha absolutely hated broccoli!

     "Everyone come and sit down for supper!" announced Samantha's mom just as Samantha barged into the kitchen.
       "What's for supper, Mom?" questioned Samantha
       "Your favorite meal Samantha...  we're having steamed broccoli!" exclaimed Samantha's mom.
       "Yuck mom.... you know I absolutely, positively hate broccoli!  This is my least favorite meal," Samantha said with anger.
      The whole family sat down and started to eat their delicious broccoli (well they thought it was delicious, unlike Samantha).  Everyone was finished up, and Samantha hadn't even touched her plate.

      "Mom, why do I have to eat this?  It feels like I'm eating trees!" shouted Samantha with fierce.
      "Samantha I think you're watching too much TV!" said Samantha's mom.
       "I'm not eating this nasty stuff.  You can't feed me trees, Mom."
       "Why does it feel like you're eating trees?" asked Samantha's mom.
       "Why?  There are a million reasons why.  Broccoli is green, trees are green too.  Trees have a top that is bushy, broccoli has a top that is bushy too!  This is why I'm not eating this gross stuff!" Samantha exclaimed with anger.
       "Just please try your broccoli," begged Samantha's mom.
       "Fine!  I will try one little piece," said Samantha.

      Samantha tried her broccoli, and it turned out she loved it! So now she asks her mom to make it every week!                      
 

How I Want To Be Remembered

     How do I want to be remembered at the end of sixth grade?  Well I want to be remembered as the athletic one.  The one who loves playing sports.  The active girl in the group.  I want to be remembered as the caring one.  Or the smart one who thinks outside the box.  I want to be known as the one who walks in the room every day with a smile on her face.  The one who always makes people feel better.  I want to be brought to mind by someone else as the one who accomplished everything.  Well that's how I want to be remembered at the end of sixth grade!:)

Bobo Visits The Doctor

     Once upon a time in a forest filled with trees there lived a monkey named Bobo.  Bobo loved swinging from trees until one sunny warm afternoon he was swinging from the trees so fast that he missed a branch and fell off!  He hit the ground with a crack!  Suddenly, his leg didn't feel right anymore.  Bobo tried to get up, but now his leg was in so much pain that he couldn't do anything but just lay there.  Luckily, Bear was walking through the forest when this happened.  "What happened?" Bear questioned when he saw Bobo laying there hopelessly.  "Well... I was swinging on the branches when.... I missed a branch and fell from the tree."  Bobo replied.  "Well we should get you to a doctor promptly."  exclaimed Bear.  Bear helped Bobo up and they started for the doctors office.  They got to the doctors office.  "Well, well, well, Mr. Bobo what happened now?" interrogated Doctor Steve.  "I was swinging on the branches and I missed one and fell from the tree."  replied Bobo instantly. "Well lets take some x-rays and see what you might have hurt."  An hour later Bobo found out he broke his leg.  Doctor Steve wrapped his leg and Bobo was put in a wheel chair.  "Thanks for the help Bear, you saved my life." said Bobo.  "Anything for a friend like you" inquired Bear.

The Three Little Pigs

     One day the big bad wolf got bored so he decided to go pick on the three little pigs that lived just down the block from him...


     The three little pigs were sitting in their living room with their mom.  Momma Pig finally spoke up and said "You pigs need to go out into the world and seek your fortune."  So the three little pigs set out to each build a house.   The first little pig decided to build his house out of straw.  He was all done building his house when suddenly he heard a knock at the door.  "Who is it?" interrogated the little pig. "Little pig, little pig, let me in or I will huff and I will puff and blow your house down."  hollered the big bad wolf.  "Not by the hair of my chinny, chin, chin!"  answered the little pig.  So that left the big bad wolf no choice but to blow the house in.  The little pig ran all the to his brother's house.  The second little pig built his house out of sticks.  When he was done building his house his little brother and him went inside when suddenly they heard a knock at the door.  "Who is it?" wondered the little pigs.  The wolf answered "Little pigs, little pigs, let me in or I will huff and I will puff and blow your house down."  shouted the big bad wolf.  "Not by the hair of our chinny, chin, chins!" said the little pigs.  So the big bad wolf did what he had done before.  He blew the house down.  So the two little pigs had to quickly run all the way to their brother's house.  The third little pig was the brightest of them all.  He built his house out of bricks.  The younger two pigs ran inside and pulled their brother in before the wolf got him.  They were all in when there was a knock at the door.  "Who is it?"  questioned the three little pigs  "Little pigs, little pigs, let me in or I will huff and I will puff and blow your house down."  replied the big bad wolf.  "Not by the hair of our chinny chin chins!"  So the big bad wolf huffed and puffed but he couldn't seem to blow the house down.  So the wolf decides to be clever and go down the chimney.  He goes down the chimney.... WITH HIS LUCK THE CHIMNEY WAS GOING AND HE BURNS HIS BUTT!!!!  The big bad wolf runs out the door and thats the last of him the three little pigs see again!


     

It's A Pillow... It's A Pet!

     Have you ever had a problem with pillows because they take up too much space?  You should go buy a pillow pet!  Pillow pets are pillows that you can sleep with,  but then you can unfold them and they turn into a pet.  They can be any animal you want.  Some even can be characters off of Tv shows!  Pillow pets can be any animal: dolphin, frog, turtle, whale, bumble bee, unicorn, penguin, dog, cat, panda, or even a zebra.  There are many more too.  Some even come in Spider Man, Buzz Lightyear,  Woody, or even Winnie The Pooh!  Pillow Pets are very attractive, because they are colorful.  They are made out of a very soft material so they are very cozy.  The material is so smooth it will make you feel at home. You can take them with you wherever you go, because they fold up.  So go out and buy a pillow pet!

Wrigley

     Well I have talked a little bit about my dog Wrigley, but now I'm going to talk about her some more.  Wrigley is a Black Lab.  Wrigley is a female.  She is a puppy.  We got her shortly after our dog Sammy passed away back in April 2013.  She was a stray before we found her.  She is a very friendly dog, but loves to jump up on people.  One thing she likes to do is get in the cow pen and run around with the cows.  Another thing she likes to do is go swimming.  Black Labs love swimming!  One other thing that she likes to do is chew up shoes!  Just a week ago she got in the house when everyone was sleeping.  When my mom got home she noticed Wrigley was in the house.  We took her back outside, and then we noticed that she chewed up 6 pairs of shoes.  That was bad enough but she chewed up every left shoe.  So we couldn't mix and match.  So my mom had to go out and by us new shoes.  Trust me mom wasn't very happy!

My Hobbies

     I have many awesome hobbies!  Some of them are playing sports.  The sports I play are volleyball, basketball, and softball.  I love playing sports.  I could do sports 24/7, that's how much I love sports.  Fishing is another one of my hobbies.  The only thing I will not do when I'm fishing is putting the worm on and taking the fish off.  I also like to go mushroom hunting.  We go to three different places.  Last summer we found two bags full just by one little tree!  Another one of my hobbies is camping.  I love going camping. My family and I go camping every other weekend.  We play games when we're camping.  Some games we play are dodge ball, kickball, ghost in the graveyard, and bocce ball.  Some weekends we even have a bean bag tournament.  My cousins and I like to go on bike rides, or go to the park.  I also love spending time with my family and friends.

My Summer

     My summer was the best!  I did a lot of things over summer.  One of the things I did was go camping at many new places.  Another thing I did was go to Lost Island.  Lost Island is a water park that has many different water slides.  It also has a wave pool and a lazy river.  My favorite ride there is the water roller coaster.  Over summer I also played softball.  I was on the pitching team.  The positions I like to play is 1st base or shortstop.  I even pitched in some games!  Our team this year was a young team, because we had to pull up the 4th graders.  We won most of our games and placed 5th at the end of the season.  I also helped the younger teams.  The younger teams would call me their "assistant coach."  Which was pretty nice of them.  Over the summer my sisters and I went to the pool a lot.  Some of my friends go to the pool.  Some of the games we play at the pool are pom pom, fish out of water, color, ship in a bottle, and freeze tag.  We also went to Jumping Jane's.  My cousin loved it and so did my sister.  Another thing we did was go to the National River Boat Museum.  That had a lot of cool and interesting things there.  We also went to the Aquarium.  When we went they had turtles.  They had many different types of turtles.  One night we went out to eat at Catfish Charlie's.  I got fish and shrimp.  It was really good that I would go there again!

Erika's First Blog

    Hi my name is Erika. I'm here to entertain you with my many different blogs. My first blog is going to be all about me. I am in 6th grade this year.  I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. We live on a farm. We have a dog named Wrigley.   She is a black lab that likes to chew up shoes.  We also have many cats and kittens.

    I like to go swimming at the town pool.  The life guards this year were Aaron, Margie, Mary, Annie, Amy, and Christi.  I also like to play softball. The positions I like to play are shortstop or 1st base.  Another sport I like to play is volleyball. In volleyball I like to be the server.  The last sport I like to play is basketball.  In basketball I am a post player. I am number 11 for every sport I play.

    

    I also like to go camping with my family.  We like to go to many different places.  Babysitting is what I like to do the most. I love being with kids, so I hope to be a teacher one day.  My favorite author is Peg Kehret.  She mostly writes mysteries. I also love the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Dallas Cowboys!!  That's a little bit about me, hopefully you find out more in my other blogs.
